There is often a lot of negativity associated with radon, and rightfully so. But today, we’d like to put a positive spin on what it’s like to have a radon-free home. In the words of John C. Reilly’s character Brennan from “Stepbrothers”, a radon-free home has so much more room for activities. We’ve compiled some of our favorite things to be able to do:
Throw a Party – in the WINTER!
When there are safe levels of radon present in a home, the basement can be a great place to hold a big bash. Summer often takes the cake for gatherings, mostly because there is an outdoor living space that can host larger numbers. When your home is radon-free, though, you aren’t limited by the weather or the season. A radon-free basement can be a great place to spend time with friends & family, no matter the time of year.
Get Your Workout On – Without Leaving Home
When you knew that your home had unsafe levels of radon, it was a lot easier to avoid that workout equipment gathering dust in the basement. Now that your home is radon-free, you can start burning extra calories & stop using that treadmill as a clothes rack. The plus side: the sweat on the equipment is yours, you get to watch what you want on TV, and no meatheads.
Rain or Shine – The Kiddos Have a Safe Place to Play
It’s happened to everyone at some point in their lives. You are running around, knees deep in a game of tag, when all of a sudden a clap of thunder & a flash of lightning signals the end of your game. In a radon-free home, the fun doesn’t have to end. The game can keep going in the basement for hours, keeping mom’s sanity intact!
Movie Night – Without the Move Price
Tickets: Check. Popcorn: Check. Jumbo Pop: Check. Movie Sized Candy: Check. Having to max out your credit card for a Family Fun Night: NOT REQUIRED. What better way to spend an evening with your family than pretending to go to the movies, without having to give up your first born child. A radon-free home means that it’s safe to spend lots of time just hanging out. So pop up that popcorn & pop in “Frozen”; you can breathe easy knowing you didn’t just break the bank.
