Air Duct Cleaning Illinois
Trinity Air Duct Cleaning Services
Did you know...
That there is no such thing as a "licensed" Air Duct Cleaner? They can be certified (we are AirCare® Certified). Their company may be a licensed company with the state, or they may have a license for other work they perform (such as HVAC, Electrical or Radon Mitigation), however, they are NOT licensed Air Duct Cleaners.
How do I know if my air ducts need to be cleaned?
If anyone in your home or office suffers from allergies, breathing or respiratory problems, or if you notice dust inside your home or office, you should consider having your air system cleaned. Also, if you notice that you have black specs of mold growing on the underside of your registers, or you smell a distinct musty odor when your system turns on, you should consider having your air system cleaned.
Knowledge about the potential benefits and possible problems of air duct cleaning is limited. Since conditions in every home are different, it is impossible to generalize about whether or not air duct cleaning in your home would be beneficial.
If no one in your household suffers from allergies or unexplained symptoms or illnesses and if, after a visual inspection of the inside of the ducts, you see no indication that your air ducts are contaminated with large deposits of dust or mold (no musty odor or visible mold growth), having your air ducts cleaned is probably unnecessary.
Why should I get my air ducts cleaned?
There are two main reasons you should have your air system cleaned. First, you and your family (or employees) will be breathing cleaner air. Is there anything more important than the health of your loved ones and employees? Secondly, having a clean air system can save money on your energy bill. A clean air system runs more efficiently, and can reduce costs for heating and cooling your home. You should also consider cleaning your ducts if:
There is substantial visible mold growth inside hard surface (e.g., sheet metal) ducts or on other components of your heating and cooling system.
Ducts are infested wtih vermin (ie rodents or insects)
Ducts are clogged with excessive amounts of dust and debris and/or particles are actually being released into your home from your supply registers.
How much should it cost for me to have my air ducts cleaned?
Many customers are unsure of what they should be charged to have their air ducts cleaned. It is easy to see where the confusion comes from. Open any of the coupon envelopes you get, and you will have at least one duct cleaning company telling you that they will come out and do a full system clean for $49.00. While we cannot tell you whether this is legitimate or not, the EPA does say that the average air duct cleaning ranges from $450 to $1000 per heating and cooling system.
